About Donna Najarian
Donna is a consummate furniture maker whose work blends elegance and functionality.
Donna studied mathematics and sculpture at Colby College in Maine before completing the furniture program at the prestigious North Bennett Street School in Boston.
As a result of her training, she brings to her work a foundation of centuries-old woodworking techniques.
She has been praised by Judy Kensley McKie, one of the premier figures in the American studio furniture movement, for her impeccable craftsmanship and unerring attention to detail.
For over 25 years, Donna has produced museum-quality handcrafted pieces in both period and contemporary styles for a wide range of clients.
The Strauss Center for Conservation at the Harvard University Art Museums commissioned a number of painting easels from Donna. Since then, demand for her easels has grown. Private collectors are drawn to the timeless grace of her designs while museum conservators recognize the quality, durability, and craftsmanship of her easels. Museums that have acquired Donna's easels include the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the de Young Museum in San Francisco, and the Worcester Art Museum.
